iQOO Z7 series has launched in China. The lineup comprises the standard Z7 and Z7x variants. The Vivo sub-brand had also announced the Z7i in the home market last week. The iQOO Z7 series smartphones arrive as the successor to the last year’s Z6 series. Read on to know what the latest phones offer out of the box.

The iQOO Z7 and Z7x smartphones feature the same design with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a squarish camera module on the back panel. Both phones have a 6.64-inch LCD display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The iQOO Z7 duo offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, adaptive brightness, DC Dimming, and support for HDR10.

On the imaging front, the iQOO Z7 series sports dual rear cameras. The setup comprises a 64MP primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP secondary lens. There is a 16MP selfie snapper. The iQOO Z7x has an 8MP selfie snapper and a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera.

Under the hood, the iQOO Z7 is equipped with a Snapdragon 782G processor whereas the Z7x is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC. Both phones pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. There is virtual RAM expansion technology and a VC liquid cooling system onboard. The iQOO Z7 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 120W fast charging. The Z7x has a larger 6,000mAh battery cell but the charging speed maxes out at 90W. Software-wise, the smartphones run on Android 13-based OriginOS 3.0 on the top. 

The iQOO Z7 series comes with NFC, IR Blaster, X-Axis linear motor, WiFi-6, and high-performance antennas. 

The iQOO Z7 starts at 1,599 ($232) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options cost RMB 1,799 (~$246) and RMB 1,999 (~$276) respectively. Meanwhile, the iQOO Z7x starts at RMB 1,299 (~$188) for the 6GB + 128GB option. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations are priced at RMB 1,399 (~$203) and RMB 1,499 (~$217) respectively. The iQOO Z7 series is offered in Atomic Blue, Infinite Orange, and Space Black colours.
