During the previous summer, Oppo introduced its A97 5G smartphone worldwide, which belongs to the budget-friendly category. The phone boasts a 90Hz LCD screen and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. Currently, it seems that Oppo is preparing to release the successor of this model, which may be called the Oppo A98 5G.

A device with the same name has appeared on the NBTC certification website. It bears the model number CPH2529. The listing does not reveal any specifications, however, it confirms the Oppo A98 5G moniker. Additionally, a device with the same model number has also been spotted on China’s CQC database. It reveals that the drive will feature a 67W fast charging. No other details about the device have appeared on the listing, however, a previous leak starts that it could feature a 120Hz FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 5000mAh battery, and a 108MP primary camera.
