Yesterday, Huawei held its spring launch event in China where it unveiled the long-awaited P60 smartphones, the Mate X3 foldable, and several other ecosystem products. The good news is that the tech giant is now gearing up to bring the flagship P60 series as well as the newly introduced foldable to the European market in May. Here are the details.

As per a media invite shared by GSMArena, Huawei will be holding an exclusive event in Munich, Germany on May 9 to launch its P60 series in Europe. The invitation for the event only mentions the P60 flagship, but the wording “flagship product launch” suggests that the company may also unveil its Mate X3 foldable smartphone and potentially some accessories as well.

Huawei has been trying hard to stay relevant in the global market despite facing numerous challenges, including trade restrictions imposed by the US government. The launch of its latest flagship devices in the old continent could help the Chinese behemoth maintain its position as one of the world’s leading smartphone manufacturers.

The latest P60 series includes the vanilla Huawei P60, the Huawei P60 Pro, and the Huawei P60 Art, which brings a rather different design. All three phones get a 120hz 6.67-inch LTPO OLED screen with FHD+ resolution. They get the same 48MP primary sensor with an RYYB sensor and OIS. P60 and P60 Pro share the same 13MP Ultrawide unit while P60 Art gets a 40MP sensor.

The telephoto lens on P60 Pro and P60 Art is 48MP. The vanilla model settles for a 12MP telephoto shooter. All three P60 phones are equipped with a 4G version of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
