ASUS is set to launch the ROG Phone 7 globally on April 13th. It’s unclear how many models the Taiwanese brand will announce at the event. The ROG Phone 7 will arrive as the successor to the ROG Phone 6. The standard variant has already been spotted on various certification sites including TENAA, 3C, and Geekbench. Now tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed that only the ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will launch this time and there will be no Pro variant. He also leaked the key specifications of the upcoming offerings.

As per Yadav, the ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The devices will run on Android 13 out of the box. Both phones are tipped to come with the same triple rear camera setup. It will comprise a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP macro unit. Up front, there will be a 32MP selfie snapper.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate will measure 173 x 77 x 10.3mm thick in terms of dimensions and weigh 239 grams. The only difference between the two phones is expected to be in the RAM and storage configurations. The tipster adds that the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will pack 16GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage.

The standard ROG Phone 7’s 3C certification listing revealed that it will come with support for 65W charging. Meanwhile, the smartphone’s TENAA certification mentions a 5,850mAh battery but ASUS will likely market it as 6,000mAh.

We expect more details about the ASUS ROG Phone 7 to surface in the coming days leading up to the launch event.
