Nothing Ear (Stick) is a recent pair of TWS earbuds from the Carl Pei-led startup. The hearables come with a distinct case that looks like lipstick, which is in line with its name. With a 12.6mm dynamic driver on either side, the earbuds offer a decent audio experience and are rated to last up to 7 hours of continuous use. However, Nothing has apparently improved the battery and audio of the Ear (Stick) further with a new software update. Here are the details.

As of today (April 4), Nothing has released a new update for their recent Ear (Stick) TWS earbuds, which introduces a number of changes. Previously, the earbuds were designed with “Clear Voice Technology” that enhanced call quality, providing a talk-time of up to 3 hours without the need for a charging case. With the latest OTA, this talk-time has been extended by approximately 40 minutes.

Additionally, the Nothing X app’s “More Bass” option for the Ear (Stick) buds has reportedly undergone significant improvements. While the earbuds were initially lauded for their connectivity, the update hints the company has continued to work on improving the stability of their Bluetooth connection.

Nothing is a relatively new brand in the market, having launched only four products so far, with the latest being the Nothing Ear (2). However, the company has demonstrated its dedication to improving its products through software updates. We have seen the brand release multiple updates to the Phone (1), improving its stability, camera performance, and adding new options to the glyph interface. And now it has improved the Ear (Stick) further.
