Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra users in the US can now enjoy enhanced security features with the latest April 2023 security patch update. The firmware version N98xU1UES4HWC9 brings more than 60 security fixes that address potential vulnerabilities in the phones, making them more secure against potential cyber-attacks.

While carrier-locked units are yet to receive the update, unlocked versions of both the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra can now access the new update. Users can navigate to Settings » Software update to download and install the latest update, which is also available in Samsung’s firmware database for manual flashing.

The new update does not bring any new features, but it may include stability improvements and other minor bug fixes. Samsung released the One UI 5.1 update a few months ago, which also included some new features and enhancements.

The Galaxy Note 20 series was launched with Android 10 onboard, and users have received subsequent Android OS updates, including Android 11, 12, and 13 in late 2020, 2021, and 2022, respectively. This latest security patch highlights Samsung’s commitment to ensuring its devices are up to date with the latest security protocols, providing users with a safe and secure mobile experience.
