This new device bears a striking resemblance to its Nothing Phone (1) and was unveiled at MWC 2023. The Unihertz Luna boasts a transparent back designed with light-emitting technology. It features a large 6.81-inch full-screen display, a 108MP camera, 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM storage, and a 5000mAh battery.
The Unihertz Luna is now officially available for purchase in China with a price tag of CNY 1899, approximately $276. The device comes in two color options, white and black.
Unihertz unveiled 14 distinctive models at MWC 2023, including the Unihertz Luna, the popular 3-inch Jelly 2 tiny smartphone, and Titan Slim. Unihertz is a Chinese company that specializes in creating innovative smartphones that cater to specific user needs.
The Unihertz Luna is targeted towards individuals seeking a transparent phone with a light show feature, at an affordable price point. It’s important to note that the Unihertz Luna does not support 5G networks, unlike the Nothing Phone 1. It is limited to 4G networks and has a dual nano SIM card slot.
Unihertz claims that the Luna is inspired by the ancient oriental philosophy of the round sky. The phone features a circular shape with a premium metal body that is color-plated and a backplate made of Panda King glass. One of the standout features of the phone is the strip of LED lights located at the back that can glow in different hues. Users can customize the colors and patterns of the lights to suit incoming calls, notifications, music, videos, and other functions. The lights also have the ability to synchronize with sound.
As for the specifications, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 12 OS and supports dual SIM cards. It flaunts a 6.81-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone has a 108-megapixel primary rear camera, a 20-megapixel secondary night vision camera, and a 2-megapixel tertiary macro lens that can take close-up shots of small objects.
