Xiaomi‘s latest offering, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone, has made waves in the tech community since its recent launch in China. Early reviews have already declared it as potentially the best Android camera phone currently available in the market. However, the company is not resting on its laurels and has already released a couple of updates for the device in the first few days.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra

Within 24 hours of the launch, two versions of the MIUI 14 OTA update have been made available to users. The main focus of these updates is to boost the already impressive camera performance of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. In the first patch, MIUI 14.0.7.0, the update is quite substantial, with a capacity of up to 6.5GB, along with two Google security patches. The camera optimization features include adjustments to the default zoom ratio of street shooting mode and the fixed focus distance for the same mode.

The second patch, MIUI 14.0.8.0, released soon after, is relatively smaller in size, at only 87MB. Despite this, Xiaomi has advised all users to upgrade to this new patch, which promises to improve the user experience, make the system more stable, and enhance the overall shooting quality. The three main upgrades in this patch include picture quality optimization for certain scenes, an adjustment to the default zoom ratio of street shooting mode, and the fixed focus distance for the same mode.

While the recent patches should be part of the latest update, the main aim remains to improve the already impressive camera quality of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Xiaomi is known for its strict adherence to timely updates, and the company has advised users to connect to the internet as soon as they obtain the device to ensure that the camera optimization provided by the latest update is available.
