Publication Xiaomiui and a Chinese tipster have leaked plenty of details about the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, the upcoming addition to the MIX Fold foldable phone series. According to the publication, the Xiaomi device codenamed “Babylon” and model number 2308CPXD0C (shorted model number: L18), which has appeared in the IMEI database, will debut in the Chinese market as the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3. The “2308” numbers indicate that it is planned to launch in August. It even states that the device is likely to launch on Aug. 11. The MIUI firmware of the device suggests that it will remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Here is all that is known about the MIX Fold 3.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is said to feature a 6.5-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz cover screen and an 8.02-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz inner foldable screen. Both displays will have a punch-hole design. The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. The top-of-the-line variant of the device is expected to offer 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

One of the most exciting features of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is its Leica quad-camera system, which is expected to include a 50-megapixel IMX989 sensor, a 50-megapixel IMX858 ultra-wide camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel IMX858 periscope lens. This setup is sure to provide users with exceptional photography capabilities.

In terms of charging, the MIX Fold 3 is rumored to come with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device is also said to have an IP rating, adding extra protection against water damage.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is expected to run on MIUI 14 and Android 13, providing users with the latest software features. Additionally, it is rumored to be thinner and lighter than its Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, which measures 11.2mm (folded state) in thickness and weighs 262 grams.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is expected to be available in black leather and white glass colors. Unfortunately, it will not be available in markets outside of China.
