Samsung is known for holding two major Galaxy Unpacked events in a year. The first one, which is usually held in February, is used to announce the Galaxy S-series of flagship phones. In the second half of the year, the company holds its other Galaxy Unpacked event in the month of August. This event is used to announce new foldable phones, new flagship tablets, and new smartwatches. According to a report by iNews24, Samsung may hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, instead of August.

According to the report, Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event could be held in the last week of July. The South Korean company usually holds Galaxy Unpacked events in Barcelona, Spain, or the US. However, this time around, Samsung is reportedly putting all efforts into holding the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in Busan, South Korea.

The reason behind it is that all the business divisions of Samsung are advertising the country’s bid for World Expo 2023 at different levels. For instance, Samsung showcased a “Busan World Expo 2030” promo video at the MWC 2023, which was held in Barcelona, Spain, in February. Hence, the company is considering locations such as Busan or New York.

The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2023 is likely to see the arrival of multiple products. The company will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Z Flip 5 at the event. This year, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will face competition from the likes of the Google Pixel Fold and the Tecno Phantom V Fold.

At the same event, the company will also announce the Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra, along with the Galaxy Watch 6 series. It is unclear which other devices will be showcased at the event.
