Xiaomi has released the Smart Home Hub 2 in some European markets. The Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2 supports Bluetooth, Bluetooth Mesh, and ZigBee protocols. It is also more powerful than its predecessor, the Smart Home Hub that was released in March last year. The gadget is now available in Spain, Germany, and the UK among others.

The Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2 supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi with improved speed and stability. Its compatibility with Bluetooth and ZigBee protocols allows the device to connect to a wide array of smart home devices. These include the Mi Wireless Switch, the Mi Door and Window Sensor 2, and the Mi Smart Desk Lamp 1S. The device also has an RJ45 port and is powered via its USB-C interface.

The RJ45 port of the Smart Home Hub 2 delivers a more efficient data transmission and the gadget has 128MB of memory. The 1GHz dual-core CPU of the Smart Home Hub 2 means it is twice as powerful as its predecessor. The Smart Home Hub 2 was released in China in 2022 and comes with rounded edges and a UV-resistant white case. You can view the status of the gadget via its LED panel and the Xiaomi Home app provides additional support.

The Home Hub 2 has dimensions of 3.74 x 3.74 x 1.02 inches. The Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2 is priced in the UK for £39.99 (~$50) and in Spain for €39.99 (~$45).
