Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite with Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi connectivity launched in Europe

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched a portable smart speaker in Europe. The speaker dubbed Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite comes with a host of impressive features for its price. It is currently available in Spain with a price tag of €39.99 (~US$44).

The Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite is a compact and stylish speaker that comes with a range of features to enhance the user experience. It has a 1.75-in (~44 mm) full-range speaker unit that has been tuned by the Xiaomi Acoustic Lab for optimal sound quality. The device also has a 350cc sound cavity that boosts the speaker’s power and a u-shaped duct that enhances the bass.

The Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling users to wirelessly cast content to the device using Apple AirPlay 2 or Spotify Connect. Users can also connect multiple speakers around their home to sync the music in various rooms using the Apple system or Alexa multi-room. The device can be controlled via the Xiaomi Home App, where users can link the device to other smart home gadgets, or with the integrated buttons for power on/off, play/pause, and microphone on/off.

One of the most notable features of the Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite is its integration with Amazon Alexa for voice commands. The device has two built-in microphones, enabling users to ask Alexa to do various tasks, such as providing weather updates or playing a particular song. This feature adds an extra layer of convenience, allowing users to control the speaker and other smart home gadgets using their voice.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite has a matte gray finish and weighs 460g, making it lightweight and easy to move around. The device measures 142 x 70 x 28 mm, making it compact enough to fit into any room seamlessly.
