Bang & Olufsen has just announced a new portable wireless speaker that features a modular design. The Beosound A5 is the new speaker that has some notable features. So let’s have a look.

B&O announced the new portable speaker earlier today (27th April 2023). This device is built using aluminum, wood, and paper fiber, which adds to its premium feel as well as its premium price tag. As per official notes, the Nordic Weave color option features an aluminum top and bottom, a light oak handle, and a woven paper fiber grille. Despite these materials, the company also adds that the Beosound A5 arrives with IP65 water and dust resistance rating.
Another major design element is the modular design, which the brand claims helps in making it easier to repair and extend its overall life. This is possible as the company is directly selling additional covers, materials, and even color for improved customization. Under the hood, the new portable speaker is quite capable with its four driver setup and four digital amplifiers for a 280 watts output. It also comes with a 5.25 inch woofer and dual 2 inch mid range drivers and a 3/4 inch tweeter.
The speakers promises 360 degree sound and comes with support for AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect as well. The A5 can last for up to 12 hours on a single full charge and its top panel even doubles as a wireless smartphone charger as well. The Beosound A5 is now available in stores online with its Nordic Weave color option costing 1,049 US Dollars while its Dark Oak version has a price tag of 1,149 US Dollars.
