Poco phones offer excellent hardware at an affordable price, and the company also performs well in the software department. However, similar to its parent company Xiaomi, Poco is not particularly efficient at releasing software updates. Recently, the flagship Poco F4 received the Android 13-based update in India, but it was quite delayed. Now, the company has announced MIUI 14 for several other phones in the global market, including the Poco F4 GT, Poco F3, Poco X3 GT, and more.
More Poco phones getting Android 13 update
Poco has been slowly updating some of its phones with MIUI 14 and today the brand has announced the list of phones that will get the latest update. As per the company, 11 smartphones will be receiving the MIUI 14 update globally in this quarter. These include:
- POCO F2 Pro
- POCO F3
- POCO F4
- POCO F4 GT
- POCO M3
- POCO M4 5G
- POCO M5
- POCO X3 GT
- POCO X3 NFC
- POCO X3 Pro
- POCO X4 GT
Some of the devices mentioned above have already received the MIUI 14 update based on Android 13 in various regions. For example, the Poco F3 received the update in March, and the F2 Pro received it shortly after. Additionally, the Poco F4 in India is also running MIUI 14. However, the company has now announced a global rollout, which means that these devices will soon start receiving the update widely.
It is worth mentioning that while these handsets will receive MIUI 14, it does not necessarily mean that the update will be based on Android 13. Some users have reported receiving MIUI 14 updates based on Android 12. A similar situation occurred with Redmi Note 12 Pro phones, where Redmi released an outdated version of Android.
