Huawei has announced that it will hold its summer all-scenario new product launch conference on May 18th, where it will unveil a brand new series of tablets called the “Huawei MatePad New Series”. The company has teased that this tablet will be focused on “light” and “new”, with the homonym “more enamored”. It is expected to be a mid-to-high-end flagship tablet that targets light office productivity, positioning it to be more powerful than the digital series.

The Tablet will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 Chipset

According to IT Home, Huawei plans to launch several new products at the conference, including the Huawei MatePad Air series, the Huawei Watch 4 series, and the Huawei Matebook E 2023. The MatePad New Series, which is expected to be the MatePad Air, will likely be positioned as the orthodox iteration of MatePad 11 2021. The currently certified models include DBY2-W00, DBY2Z-AL00, and DBY2-AL00, with two 4G LTE versions and one Wi-Fi-only version. The tablet will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, an 8200mAh battery, and support for 40W fast charging.

This tablet computer is expected to have a screen size between 10-11 inches and has previously appeared on the list of high frame rate adaptation models of “Glory of the King”, making it a good choice for gamers. The price is expected to be around 3,000 yuan (approximately $468 USD), slightly higher than the MatePad 11 2023’s price range of 2,199 to 2,899 yuan (approximately $342 to $452 USD), but lower than the starting price of the MatePad Pro 11 at 3,499 yuan (approximately $544 USD).

With the release of the new MatePad series, Huawei hopes to continue its success in the tablet market. The company has been facing challenges due to restrictions imposed by the US government, but has managed to maintain its position as one of the top tablet vendors in the world. The MatePad New Series will likely offer consumers a powerful yet affordable tablet option that is suitable for both work and play. Huawei’s all-scenario approach, which includes products such as smartphones, tablets, wearables, and laptops, offers consumers an integrated user experience that is hard to beat.
