Oppo is gearing up to launch the next iteration of its popular premium-midrange Reno series devices. The series this year will be called the Reno 10 series and will be spearheaded by the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+. Hands-on images of this device were spotted in an earlier report, and now, it has popped up on Geekbench revealing its performance.

OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ 5G Geekbench: SD8 Gen 1 confirmed

Geekbench website has revealed that the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ 5G, with model number PHU110, is powered by an SoC codenamed “taro,” which is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz. The chipset includes three performance cores with 2.5GHz clock speed and four efficiency cores with 1.8GHz clock speed. For graphics, it has an Adreno 730 GPU. The device also has a 16GB RAM variant, and we can expect a 12GB RAM variant too. The device may come with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The phone will run on Android 13 with ColorOS 13 layered on top. In the Geekbench tests, the Reno 10 Pro+ 5G achieved a score of 1271 and 3930 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

With brands going with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for their premium mid-range devices, it is quite surprising that Oppo chooses to go with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, a chip notorious for overheating. However, as there is no confirmation on it yet, it’s better to take this listing with a pinch of salt.

Leaked details of the highly anticipated OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ 5G say that it will feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto lens’s technology promises incredible low-light performance, which is an exciting prospect for avid mobile photographers. The phone’s front camera is a 32MP sensor, making it a great choice for selfie lovers. The smartphone frame will possibly be made out of metal.

According to previous rumors, the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ 5G was said to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and support a 100W fast charge feature, as per the 3C certification platform. The device is also expected to come equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a centered punch hole, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1.5K screen resolution. With all of these features, the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ 5G is sure to be a highly coveted smartphone upon its release.
