The Jio Cloud PC launch might be right around the corner. The company is apparently in its pre launch phase after a company executive confirmed that the official announcement will be held soon.

Jio Cloud PC set to launch in India soon

The news arrives from Shelton Rego, VP Cloud, Jio Platforms. He stated that the upcoming Cloud PC will be announced in the market soon. For those unaware, the Indian telecom giant is working on a new cloud based virtual PC. This PC was built in collaboration with known PC brands like Dell, GP, and Lenovo to build the actual product. As of right now, it is confirmed that the new Cloud PC will be powered by Jio True 5G and will feature the brand’s proprietary virtual display infrastructure (VDI).

Furthermore, the executive also added that the Jio Cloud PC will use JioAirFiber at launch. As of right now, the company is expanding its 5G networking infrastructure. Although, it is already available in 4,332 cities and towns across multiple states and Union Territories in India. So, it isn’t surprising that the company will have its cloud based computer leverage its telecom infrastructure for the newer and faster technology. Notably, this product will follow the company’s recently unveiled JioDrive VR Headset in the region.

Unfortunately, finer details like the specifications or pricing regarding this PC is still unclear. However, Jio typically launches products at prices that are affordable to the mass consumers, so we can expect its initial cost or eventual upgrades to follow a similar philosophy as well. So stick around for more as we will be offering updates when additional information is available regarding this product.
