Amazon’s Fire tablet line includes some easy-to-use models that don’t cost a fortune. They are good for entertainment, browsing the web, and reading books. However, Amazon has taken its tablet game to the next level with the new Fire Max 11. It is the company’s largest tablet so far with an 11-inch display. The device has a slim and lightweight build with a higher resolution screen and a powerful processor.

Fire Max 11 could be a worthy iPad competitor

Amazon Fire Max 11 has a large panel but features a slim and durable build, with the company claiming it to be “three times as durable as the iPad 10.9.” The device is built from aluminum and what the company calls strengthened glass. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal storage options.

Amazon did not mention the exact name of the processor but says it’s 50 percent faster than the top-end model in its current lineup. The tablet comes with an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, the highest in an Amazon tablet. It also packs 8MP cameras on the front and rear, just in case you want to click pictures or do a video call. Fire Max 11 is rated to last 14 hours on a single charge.

Amazon has built a fingerprint sensor into the device and ships it with a set of accessories like a magnetic keyboard and stylus. The Fire Max 11 is available for preorder starting at $229.99. If you wish to get it with the accessories, you’ll have to pay $329.99. For a limited time, Amazon is also offering a free three-month trial of Microsoft 365 Personal. With these specifications, this could be one of the best tablets under $500.
