iQOO Neo 8 series has launched In China today. This is the first time the Vivo sub-brand is launching a Pro model in the Neo lineup. The latest offerings are the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. The former arrives as the successor to the last year’s Neo 7. There are a few differences between the vanilla Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. Read on to know more about the devices below.
iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro specifications

The iQOO Neo 8 series features a slim form factor, a rectangular rear camera module, and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout display. Both phones have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen bearing a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphones come with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, 1,300 nits peak brightness, HDR10 support, and Vivo’s V1+ image chip.
On the imaging front, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro features a 50MP Sony IMX866VCS main sensor with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the other hand, the regular iQOO Neo 8 comes with a 50MP OIS-enabled main lens coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. Both phones have a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Dimensity 9200+ processors respectively. Both phones pack up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. There is also virtual RAM technology. The devices are equipped with a VC liquid cooling heat dissipation system. The iQOO Neo 8 duo are backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 120W fast charging. They ship with Android 13 with OriginOS 3 skinned on the top.
The iQOO Neo 8 Pro features a dual X-Axis linear motor. Connectivity options on the regular and pro model include USB-C port, NFC, IR Blaster, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 5G.

The iQOO Neo 8 series is offered in Surf, Match Point, and Night Black colors. The regular variant is priced at RMB 2,499 (~$354)and RMB 2,599 (~$396) for the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB options respectively whereas the 16GB + 512GB costs RMB 3,099 (~$439). The Pro model carries a price tag of RMB 3,299 (~$467) and RMB 3,599 (~$510) for the 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations. The smartphones will be available for purchase from May 31.
