In November 2022, Honor announced the Honor Magic Vs foldable phone featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip in China. Rumors are rife that the brand will launch two or three foldable phones this year in the home market. A new Honor device with model number VER-AN10 has been approved by China’s MIIT authority. Rumors are rife that it could be the upcoming Honor Magic V2 foldable phone.

The MIIT certification has not revealed any information on the specifications of the Honor Magic V2, but it does hint that its launch may not be far away. Rumors surrounding the device have claimed that it may arrive in two chipset variants, such as the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
It is speculated that the Honor Magic V2 might be unveiled in July. Similar to the Huawei Mate X3, it is expected that the Magic V2 will feature a slimmer and lighter design. In comparison, the Mate X3, which was introduced in March of this year, has dimensions of 156.9 x 72.4 x 11.8mm when folded and weighs approximately 240 grams.
