During the highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple introduced the latest iteration of its Mac Pro alongside Mac Studio, featuring the cutting-edge M2 Ultra Chip. This significant upgrade promises up to three times the speed of the previous Intel-based model, reaffirming Apple’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance.

The new Mac Pro boasts an impressive 24-core CPU, an optional 76-core GPU, and a substantial boost in memory and SSD storage capacity. Notably, users can configure the Mac Pro with an astonishing 192GB of memory, accompanied by a lightning-fast unified memory bandwidth of 800GB/s.
One of the standout features of the Mac Pro is its remarkable video processing capabilities. With the power of seven built-in Afterburner cards, this machine can handle an unprecedented 22 streams of 8K ProRes video playback. It also supports the simultaneous processing of up to 24 4K camera feeds, enabling real-time encoding to ProRes using six video I/O cards—a significant advancement for professionals working with high-resolution content.
To cater to the diverse needs of users, Apple has integrated PCIe expansion slots into the Mac Pro, offering seven slots in total, with six supporting the faster gen 4 standard. This expansion capability allows users to customize their Mac Pro by adding essential cards to meet their specific requirements.
Connectivity has received a boost as well, with the new Mac Pro equipped with eight Thunderbolt 4 ports—double the previous generation. Furthermore, it supports up to six Pro Display XDRs, while also offering Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless wireless connectivity.

For pricing and availability, Apple offers two options: the Mac Pro Tower Enclosure starting at $6,999, and the Mac Pro Rack Enclosure starting at $7,499. Excitingly, the new Mac Pro is available for order immediately on apple.com/in/store and in the Apple Store app. Shipping will start on Tuesday, June 13, and the product will be available at Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers.
