Asus showcased the ExpertBook B9 OLED laptop during the CES 2023 and today the company has officially announced it in the global market. The new machine from the Taiwanese company debuts as the world’s lightest 14-inch OLED business laptop and boasts an environment-friendly build. It is powered by the latest Intel Core vPro processor and has a number of enterprise-grade security features. Here are the details.

Asus ExpertBook B9 OLED gets a sleek and slim design, crafted with a magnesium-lithium alloy. The company claims it to be not only lightweight but also durable. The machine weighs only 990 g and adheres to the exacting US military-grade MIL-STD-810H standard. The 14-inch display on the laptop comes with a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Further, the machine is powered by an up to 13th Generation Intel Core i7 vPro processor and 64 GB of fast, efficient LPDDR5x memory. On the software front, the laptop runs Windows 11 Pro, which is specially designed for businesses and professionals. The Asus ExpertBook B9 OLED comes with a dual-fan cooling system that reduces operating temperatures by up to 27%, lowers noise by up to 32%, and decreases power consumption when compared to previous-gen models.

The connectivity ports include Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports with USB Power Delivery 3.0 support, along with a traditional USB 3.2 Type-A port. The ExpertBook B9 OLED also features an integrated HDMI 2.1 port, which, when used with the Thunderbolt 4 ports, allows for the connection of up to three 4K external displays. There is also a 3.5 mm combo audio jack available.

Notably, Asus has not announced the price and availability of the new laptop yet. We might have to wait a little long before it hits the market.
