In a recent announcement, Xiaomi has made significant executive changes, including adjustments to high-level positions. Notably, Huang Zhenyu, previously the vice president of the automotive department, has assumed the additional role of general manager of the supply chain department within the same division. Zhenyu will directly report to Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi’s automotive department.

Xiaomi has made a noteworthy recruitment move by attracting senior executive Huang Zhenyu from the auto parts industry to join their ranks. Zhenyu, previously holding the position of Vice President in the China region at Magna, a prominent global supplier, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the automotive sector. 

As a result of this development, Zhenyu has assumed responsibility for the supply chain business at Xiaomi, while Li Xiaoshuang, Vice President of Xiaomi’s Automotive Division, has transitioned to focus on market operations. Additionally, Xiaoshuang has taken on the role of General Manager in the Auto Marketing Department, directly reporting to Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi’s Automotive Division.

In a notable career transition, Li Xiaoshuang, previously the general manager of Xiaomi Group’s home appliances department, has taken on a significant role within Xiaomi’s automotive division. With extensive experience within the company, Xiaoshuang is regarded as a seasoned veteran of Xiaomi

Notably, recent reports suggested that Wen Fei, an executive from Great Wall Motors, was recruited by CEO Lei Jun to lead the marketing department. However, it appears that the decision has since been reversed, with the marketing responsibilities entrusted to the core Xiaomi team. 

Currently, Xiaomi’s automotive endeavors are progressing smoothly, and the company is on track to launch its first car next year.
