Reportedly, Oppo is preparing to launch the Oppo Reno 9A smartphone specifically for the Japanese market. This upcoming device will serve as the successor to the Oppo Reno 7A, which made its debut in June 2022. Interestingly, Oppo skipped the release of the Reno 8A smartphone, making the Reno 9A the direct successor in their lineup. Oppo Reno 9A design

Leaked renders of the Oppo Reno 9A reveal that the phone features a corner punch-hole display, where the front-facing camera is located. On the back, there is a rectangular glossy section positioned at the top. Within this section, there is a triple camera setup accompanied by dual LED flash units. Oppo Reno 9A specifications (rumored)

According to the report, the Oppo Reno 9A will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It offers an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The device will be equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, it has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Reno 9A will be yet another midrange phone powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset and a 4,500mAh battery. The report claims that the device will support Quick Charge 2.0 / USB PD 2.0 charging protocols.

The Reno 9A will arrive with 8 GB of RAM, 8 GB of virtual RAM, and 128 GB of storage. It will offer other features, such as ColorOS 13-based Android 13, a microSD card slot, e-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Reno 9A will arrive with an IPX8 / IP6X waterproof and dust-resistant chassis. It will measure 160 x 74 x 7.8mm and weigh 183 grams. There is no information about the Reno 9A. When available, buyers in Japan will be able to choose from color variants, such as Night Black and Moon White.
