OnePlus is set to launch a new audio device under its Nord branding. The company has announced that it will launch the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r in the country on July 5. It is expected to be a toned-down and cheaper version of the Nord Buds 2 that debuted in April this year. Read on to know what it know so far about the upcoming offering.
OnePlus Nord Buds 2r to launch in India
Both Amazon and Flipkart have put up a microsite of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r confirming its availability on the e-commerce platforms. It reveals that the upcoming offering will be available in Blue and Black color options. The TWS earphones will have the same semi-in-ear design like the Nord Buds 2 with a stem and angled silicon ear tips. More details about the Nord Buds 2r will be revealed on the microsite in the coming days leading up to the launch event.
OnePlus launched the flagship Buds 2 Pro TWS earphones earlier this year along with its toned-down version called Buds 2r. Now the company seems to be doing the same to the Nord Buds 2. It’s likely that the upcoming Nord Buds 2r could lack ANC support or some other feature of the Nord Buds 2. The TWS earphones are also expected to be priced under Rs 2,000 compared to the Rs 3,000 price tag of the Nord Buds 2.
OnePlus has already teased the global launch of the Nord 3 smartphone in July. However, there is no exact launch date and the brand is yet to start teasing the device. It remains to be seen whether the smartphone will also debut alongside the Nord 2r TWS earphones.
