Earlier this year, OPPO launched the A78 5G (review) smartphone. Now, the brand is working on a 4G variant of the same device. The smartphone has bagged multiple certifications in the past with the recent being IMDA certification. Now, the OPPO A78 4G has been spotted on FCC and Bluetooth SIG certification websites. This hints at an imminent launch of the upcoming offering. 

OPPO A78 4G FCC and Bluetooth SIG certification

The OPPO A78 4G has been listed on FCC and Bluetooth SIG websites with model number CPH2565. The FCC certification reveals that the device will run on the brand’s proprietary ColorOS 13.1 which could be based on Android 13. Dimension-wise, it will have a height of 158.76 mm and a width of 71.04 mm. Connectivity options on the upcoming offering will include 4G, 3G, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth. The FCC certification also mentions that the OPPO A78 4G will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit similar to the 5G version of the device. 

The Bluetooth SIG listing of the OPPO A78 4G reveals that it will support Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. 

Apart from this, the certification websites don’t reveal any additional information of the OPPO A78 4G. Considering that the smartphone has bagged multiple certifications, it could launch soon in various global markets. The device is expected to be a toned-down offering compared to its 5G counterpart. It could be powered by a different processor.
