McLaren Applied has unveiled the Lavoie Series 1 electric scooter. The high-powered foldable scooter was designed by Ian Callum and built by the new sub-brand of McLaren. The new scooter comes with a foldable design that has already been filed for a patent.

The Lavoie Series 1 requires a single button push to collapse the scooter’s stem and move the wheel. The design enabled the brand to omit the kickstart, instead using the Park Mode. Two options for the Lavoie Series 1 are available based on their battery sizes.

The standard model comes with a 468Wh battery that delivers a range of 25 miles on an average speed of 12mph. The second model, the Lavoie Series 1 MAX is equipped with a 702Wh battery and has a range of 38 miles. The battery of the Lavoie Series 1 is inside a waterproof, hard shell and is compliant with battery safety standards both in Europe and North America. The battery is fully charged within three hours.

The companion app of the e-scooter can be used to tune the bike’s top speed. The rear and headlights can also be easily integrated into the bike for safety at night.
