Onyx Boox has just unveiled the Tab Mini C e-reader packed with advanced features and cutting-edge technology. The new e-Reader is a trimmed-down version of the Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C. The new e-ink slate packs an impressive 7.8-inch E INK Kaleido 3 e-paper screen, capable of displaying an astounding 4096 colors.
The Tab Mini C’s display is not only visually stunning but also highly functional. The display features a resolution of 1404×1872 pixels and 300 PPI in black-and-white mode, ensuring crystal-clear text and images. When displaying color, the resolution stands at 702×936 pixels with 150 PPI, allowing for vibrant and engaging content. The screen is flush with the bezel, protected by AG glass flat cover-lens, enhancing durability and providing a seamless user experience.
The e-Reader is equipped with a WACOM screen and a stylus dubbed Boox Pen 2 Plus, allowing users to effortlessly take notes, edit PDF files, and freehand draw. The magnet on the right side conveniently holds the stylus.
The Tab Mini C also offers an exceptional reading experience thanks to its front-lit display with white LED lights and a color temperature system. The setup provides warm, adjustable lighting, allowing you to read comfortably in any environment. Users can conveniently control the intensity of the around 42 LED lights using dedicated slider bars.
Under the hood, the Onyx Boox Tab Mini C houses a Qualcomm Octa-core processor and a BSR GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and there is 64GB of internal storage. The device also features two speakers for audio playback and supports Bluetooth 5.0.
The e-ink tablet runs on the Android 11 OS with the Boox OS skinned version, the Tab Mini C grants you full access to the Google Play Store, where you can download millions of free and paid apps. Boox’s own e-reading app, Neoreader, is preinstalled, offering support for various file formats. Moreover, being an Android device, you can also install popular reading apps like Libby, Kobo, Kindle, and Nook.
