Honor is set to launch its latest smartphone, the Honor X50, on July 7th, and recent leaks have revealed unique versions of the device, including a collaboration with BMW and a plain leather variant.

A live image of the Honor X50, shared by a Weibo tipster known as Wanzhai, showcases the phone’s sleek design with curved edges on both the rear and front sides. However, the highlight of the device lies in its camera system, which features a prominent BMW logo in the center of the module. Although we cannot confirm whether this is an official collaboration with BMW or simply a customized model for testing, the image appears to be genuine, lending credence to the possibility.

The camera setup on the Honor X50 boasts a diamond-cut large camera circle, housing two cameras positioned on the left and right sides. The top camera is accompanied by an LED flash, while the bottom camera boasts an impressive 108MP lens.

In addition to the BMW version, the Honor X50 has also been spotted in an orange variant featuring a plain leather material. An online promotion poster showcased this particular iteration of the smartphone.

Jiang Hairong, CMO of Honor China, revealed a new poster highlighting the Honor X50’s standout feature: a ten-sided anti-fall curved screen. This innovative design is expected to enhance the device’s durability and reduce the impact from accidental drops.

According to the TENAA listing, the device is rumored to sport a 6.78-inch Full HD+ flat AMOLED display with a resolution of 2652 x 1200 pixels and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, with potential configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Furthermore, the smartphone is rumored to house a substantial 5,700mAh battery, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a dual-camera setup on the back consisting of a 108-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Software-wise, it is expected to run on Magic UI-based Android 13.

The Honor X50 is scheduled to launch on July 7th, alongside a new foldable phone. Further details regarding the device’s specifications and features are anticipated to be unveiled during the official launch event.
