Insta360 has announced the latest addition to its action camera line, the Insta360 GO 3. This ultra-compact, magnetic camera weighs just 35g, a notable increase from the GO 2‘s 26.5g, while still maintaining its compact nature. With the addition of the Action Pod, the combined weight rises to 131.8g, still light enough for comfortable use.

The GO 3 offers a boosted resolution of 2.7K, marking an upgrade from its predecessor. The innovative Action Pod enables remote control and live preview through a flip touchscreen, while also powering the camera for up to 170 minutes. To enhance user versatility, the camera is paired with a host of magnetic accessories such as a Magnet Pendant, Easy Clip, and Pivot Stand.
In addition to water resistance and waterproofing features, the GO 3 offers camera stabilization, horizon lock, and lens guard. It also has a number of new recording modes, including Pre-recording, Loop Recording, and Timed Capture. Enhanced software features like voice control and AI-powered editing are supported by the Insta360 app, while FreeFrame Mode and creative modes like TimeShift and PureShot HDR enable users to modify the aspect ratio and create custom reels.
In terms of specs, the camera has an f2.2 aperture, a 35mm equivalent focal length of 11.24mm, and photo resolution options ranging from 2560×1440 to 2936×1088. Video resolution has been upgraded to 2.7K 30fps from the previous model’s 1440p 50fps. It also features a six-axis gyroscope and offers storage capacities of 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB. The battery capacity of the GO 3 and its Action Pod has also been improved from the GO 2’s 210mAh and 1100mAh to 310mAh and 1270mAh respectively.
Pricing and Availablity
The GO 3 is available for purchase worldwide, with prices starting at $379 for the 32GB model, and increasing to $429 for the 128GB model. It can be purchased directly from the Insta360 website or through selected authorized retailers.
