Apple Has The Second Highest Revenue Per Hour of Employee’s Time at $1,284

A new study by Human Hours has revealed how much money each employee at a tech company generates for their company per hour. The study found that Apple, the world’s most valuable company, is not in first place. This caught many people’s attention, as Apple is often seen as a leader in terms of productivity.

According to the study, which analyzed data from over 200 tech companies, Netflix generated the highest revenue per hour of employee time in 2022, at $1,319. They had around 12,800 employees, who were paid an average of $107 per hour. This means that Netflix’s employees generated over $24 million in revenue for the company in just one hour.

Apple was close behind, with $1,284 earned per employee hour. They have a much larger workforce, with approximately 164,000 employees. However, they pay their employees an average of only $45 per hour. This means that Apple’s employees generated over $70 million in revenue for the company in just one hour.

Google is often the fastest business to hit big financial milestones, but its employees’ hourly contribution to revenue is behind Netflix and Apple. Google’s revenue earned per employee hour is nearly identical to Spotify’s. However, Spotify achieved $1 billion in revenue in far fewer human hours.
