In the latest leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, details about the battery sizes and charging capabilities of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series have emerged. It is expected that the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will make their debut in China in November this year.
Battery Sizes and Charging Speeds: What to Expect from Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro
According to the leak, the Xiaomi 14 will come with a 4,860mAh battery and support 90W wired charging. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a larger 5,000mAh battery and offer 120W wired charging. Additionally, both models will support 50W wireless charging.
This leak suggests a significant upgrade in the battery and charging departments compared to their predecessors. The Xiaomi 13 had a smaller 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Furthermore, recent reports indicate that both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will feature a USB-C port with support for the USB 3.2 standard.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 14 series will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Qualcomm is expected to unveil this new chip in October of this year, which has led to speculations that the Xiaomi 14 lineup may be launched as early as November in China. According to a previous leak from DCS, it has been revealed that the Xiaomi 14 series will continue to feature the 1-inch camera sensor, while the 1.33-inch sensor is still in the research and development phase.
Apart from the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, the series will also include the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, it is anticipated that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be announced in the first quarter of 2024 in China.
