AYA NEO has released more details of the AYA NEO KUN, projected to be the brand’s most powerful Windows handheld so far. The 8.4-inch display of the device puts it ahead of other gaming handhelds. It also features nearly full-size game controls and a pair of touchpads. The AYA NEO KUN was first teased in January and it was previewed today alongside the AYA NEO Pocket Air.
AYA NEO has hinted that the KUN will be its most powerful Windows handheld ever although the fine optics of this claim was not provided. It will outshine the well-kitted AYA NEO NEXT II which is powered by Ryzen 7000 APUs combined with discrete GPUs. The large display of the KUN puts it in direct comparison with the ONEXPLAYER 2. A version of the ONEXPLAYER 2 powered by the Ryzen 7 7840U APU is available globally.
The AYA NEO KUN has nearly full-size gamepad buttons and controls, having a candy bar form factor. The new gaming handheld will reportedly ship with hall-sensing joysticks, hall triggers, two touch pads, and an 8-directional d-pad. The gadget also features three sets of shoulder buttons, a fingerprint scanner with support for Windows Hello authentication, and a front-facing camera.
The AYA NEO KUN could come with a pretty large battery, according to a previous statement by the brand’s CEO. This could mean that the handheld will be heavier than its competition. There are no exact release and pricing details yet for the AYA NEO KUN. However, the gadget will be launched via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign shortly.
