A popular tipster revealed a teaser poster on June 30 pointing to the launch of a new edition of the Huawei Smart Screen S3 Pro smart TV. Although the poster suggested a July 10 launch, Huawei has now officially unveiled the Smart Screen S3 Pro 86-inch version. The new version comes with a mammoth 86-inch display screen and will be available for purchase in China on July 10. The smart TV carries a price tag of 11,999 yuan ($1,656).
In terms of design, the new 86-inch version isn’t any different from the previous 65-inch and 75-inch versions with the major change being the increased size. The Huawei Smart Screen S3 Pro is equipped with a 4K flagship screen and an AI vision chip. The screen has powerful scene recognition capabilities, while the AI chip brings portrait recognition capabilities, accurately identifying portraits, sitting posture/sitting distance, and human bones, upgrading the product’s smart experience. The display has up to 120Hz refresh rate with up to 240 frames per second.
In other aspects, it also has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smart TV is also equipped with three 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 interfaces, all of which support 4K 120Hz signal input. The HDMI interfaces can also be connected to game consoles, set-top boxes, and Blu-ray players at the same time.
