The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 has been in the news for a couple of weeks. In a recent Weibo post, Xiaomi Group Partner and President Lu Weibing confirmed that the foldable phone will be announced in August. He revealed that the device will be thinner and stronger than the predecessor model, the MIX Fold 2.

Weibing added that the company recently launched a new smart factory, and the first model that will be mass-produced through it will be the MIX Fold 3. Here is a look at everything about the company’s next foldable phone.

According to reports, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will arrive with a 6.56-inch AMOLED cover display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the inside, it will have an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED panel that offers a Quad HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1912 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The inner screen is said to be equipped with an in-display camera.

The foldable phone will be equipped with a new waterdrop hinge for drop resistance. Other reports have claimed that the device will have an IP rating. The rear shell of the device is likely to include a Leica-engineered quad-camera system, which will comprise a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989, a 1-inch camera sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom, and a periscope zoom camera with 10x optical zoom.

The device is expected to pack a 4,800mAh battery with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
