Carl Pei’s Nothing has announced an exciting update to their highly acclaimed earbuds, the Nothing Ear (2). Adding a touch of elegance and sophistication, the new variant of the Ear (2) now sports sleek black accents, including the main accents and ear-tips, as well as a black case insert visible through its clear lid. The launch is coming not too long after press renders of the new black edition appeared online.

The Nothing Ear (2) in its original white variant has already won the hearts of tech enthusiasts and audiophiles with its exceptional sound quality and minimalist design. The new black variant takes the earbuds to a whole new level of style and versatility.

Even more interesting is the fact that the update didn’t just stop at the aesthetics. Nothing has also introduced the latest software out of the box for the new Ear (2) variant. Users will benefit from an upgraded first-party EQ (Equalizer) that now includes advanced features such as Q Factor and frequency control, augmenting the bass/treble/mid graphics and allowing for a personalized audio experience.

Additionally, the software upgrade addresses the Bluetooth connectivity of the Ear (2), enhancing the wireless experience for seamless audio streaming. Battery drain concerns have also been tackled, specifically when utilizing the LHDC 5 and Personal Sound Profile features simultaneously.

In a surprise move, Nothing has simultaneously released the v1.0.1.85 update for their budget-friendly TWS buds, the Ear (stick). This update brings noise reduction capabilities to the Ear (stick) for the first time, allowing users to enjoy a more immersive and focused audio experience. The Ear (stick) also benefits from the Advanced EQ feature present in the Ear (2).

To celebrate the launch of the Nothing Ear (2) Black variant, Nothing has made a limited drop batch available on their official website at the price of US$149/€149 which is the same price as the white variant. The device is available at the price tag while stocks last.
