The trillion-dollar company, Apple, has obtained a significant number of patents, with the highlight being a unique two-in-one iPad design. As reported by IT Home on July 12, the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) released a list confirming that Apple secured a total of 53 patents. That’s a lot of patents!

The newly acquired design patent showcases an innovative approach, reminiscent of the existing iPad with the addition of a deformable shell. An image reveals that the top of the iPad is securely attached to the shell, enabling users to detach the iPad and utilize the shell as a versatile stand for various scenarios.
Delving into the patent sketch’s description, it becomes evident that the shell assembly supports an array of wireless protocols, including WiFi, Bluetooth, and ultra-wideband (UWB). When two devices equipped with the shell are in close proximity, they can seamlessly communicate and exchange data.
Apple’s inventive streak doesn’t stop there. The patent documents also offer a glimpse into other potential iPad designs, which showcases the case’s capability to support a virtual keyboard with gesture detection, such as swipes, pinches, and intricate finger movements.
