According to a leak from Weibo user @Digital Chat Station, Honor is planning to release a new folding screen smartphone later this year. The device is rumored to be lightweight and have a large external folding design. It will be priced competitively and positioned as a competitor in the market for vertically small folding smartphones. This is not the first time that Honor has been rumored to be working on a new external folding screen smartphone.
In fact, the company had previously filed a trademark application for a device called the “Honor Magic Fold.” It is possible that this is the same device that is now being referred to as the “slim, externally folding smartphone.” If Honor does launch a new folding screen smartphone later this year, it will be interesting to see how it compares to the competition.
