OnePlus is reportedly planning to release its newest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, in December 2023 in the Chinese market, according to prominent tipster Max Jambor. The global launch is anticipated in early 2024. This follows the release of the OnePlus 11 early in the year. The December launch details were also tipped before by a Chinese tipster.

OnePlus 12 specifications (expected)

Several specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 12 have been hinted at by various insiders. Notably, it is expected to support 150W wired and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities. As per Digital Chat Station, a reputed Weibo tipster, the device will likely feature a 2K curved OLED display with a centrally positioned punch-hole selfie camera, thin bezels, and a symmetrical design.

OnLeaks recently released OnePlus 12 renders that suggest the design will largely mirror its predecessor, with minor modifications. The handset appears to have a slim, glossy black body and the brand’s signature sandstone finish, with volume rocker keys on the left edge and the power button and alert slider on the right side. The device is also expected to feature a periscope lens.

The new model is also rumored to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, indicating significant potential for performance and power efficiency. The OnePlus 12 is expected to offer an improved display and a new imaging sensor.

In addition to the OnePlus 12, the company is allegedly developing its inaugural foldable phone, dubbed the OnePlus Open. Reports initially suggested an early August release, but recent information implies an end-of-August announcement instead.
