Chinese rugged smartphone manufacturer AGM has unveiled a new budget smartphone in China. The AGM Z1, as it is called, is powered by the UNISOC T606 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The UNISOC T606 chipset is an entry-level octa-core processor with two big ARM Cortex A75 cores @ 1.6GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex A55 cores at up to 1.6GHz. The chipset includes an LTE modem, an LPDDR4X 1600 MHz memory controller, an ARM Mali G57 MP1 GPU @ 650MHz, and a tri-core ISP. The UNISOC T606 is manufactured via the 12nm process by TSMC.

The AGM Z1 smartphone is available in two color variants namely night gray and dark sky blue. The smartphone is 8.55mm thick and features a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS screen with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. It also weighs just 190g. The screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz while its 4,900mAh battery supports 10W charging.

In terms of camera setup, the AGM Z1 has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 5cm microlens. The smartphone runs on Android 13 out of the box and supports fingerprint recognition and face unlocking. It is also equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack and dual standby and stereo speakers.

The AGM Z1 smartphone is available on e-commerce platform JD.com for 599 yuan (~$64). The price will increase to 699 yuan ($98) after the initial sales. Global availability and pricing information for the AGM Z1 smartphone are lacking at this time.
