Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 15 series soon. But it seems that the more advanced iPhone 15 Pro series will see a rocky release as the company may face issues in the production of their display panels.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max Shortages Expected

The Cupertino based giant is apparently facing production issues for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. It is rumored that Apple might delay the iPhone 15 series launch and the latest report also hints at a similar scenario. The company is facing issues with the production of display panels for the higher-end Pro models. For those unaware, the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature ultra-thin bezels around the screen thanks to a new manufacturing process.

However, Foxconn spotted issues with these displays made by LG during the risk ramp stage of production. During this stage, the Apple supplier manufactures hundreds of thousands of units of the device. This helps in finding out any defects in the product. According to a source close to this matter, the screen made by LG failed the reliability test after going through a new LIPO process (Low Injection Pressure Overmolding).

The process lets you fuse the display to the metal casing ahead of the assembly of the smartphone. The source added that the issue appears to affect the iPhone 15 Pro Max more severely, so its shortages could be worse than the iPhone 15 Pro. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now and stick around for more updates.
