This month started with multiple smartphone launches. But as the weeks passed on, new releases cooled off. Now as we are approaching the last week of the month, there are only a couple of scheduled events.
These two conferences will be held by Oppo and Samsung. The former will unveil an interesting mid-range smartphone in China. Whereas, the latter will globally debut its next-gen foldables alongside new tablets and smartwatches.
Let’s take a look at the handsets that are set to go official in the next few days.
The Oppo K11 is planned to launch in China on July 25 (Tuesday) at 2:30 PM GMT+8. The event will be live-streamed on Weibo and other leading Chinese video streaming platforms.
As per official teasers and leaks, this phone is nothing but a rebranded OnePlus Nord CE 3 for China. Hence, its two primary highlights will include an OIS-assisted 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chipset.
It will also offer features like a 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, up to 12GB + 512GB memory configuration, dual stereo speakers, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 100W fast wired charging support.
2. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5
Samsung will take wraps off the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 on July 26 (Wednesday) at a Galaxy Unpacked event in South Korea. This conference will be live-streamed on YouTube.
The next-gen foldables from Samsung will arrive with iterative upgrades just like their predecessors. However, there will be a few notable differences.
Both the Fold 5 and Flip 5 will sport a gapless hinge. The latter will also feature a larger cover screen. Lastly, they will have newly designed first-party accessories and multi-color S pen styluses for the Fold 5.
