AYANEO has been on a roll with a bunch of announcements. The company recently unveiled new gaming handheld devices like the Air 1S and Pocket Air. Now, the latest one is pretty unique since it is the world’s first Windows gaming handheld with an RGB backlit keyboard.
AYAONEO Slide resembles old phones with QWERTY keypads
Unlike some of its more recent reveals, the company has shared more key details regarding the Slide model. AYANEO’s upcoming gaming handheld will feature a 6-inch IPS LCD panel that offers Full HD resolution and outputs 400 nits of peak brightness. Notably, the screen also covers 85 percent DCI-P3 and 120 percent sRGB color gamut.
For ports, you can expect to find two full function USB4 ports, an M.2 slot for PCIe 4.0 drives, and an SD 7.0 standard microSD card slot for memory expansion. Under the hood, the AYANEO Slid appears to be powered by an AMD Zen 4 and RDNA 3-based APU. This will be the world’s first Windows gaming handheld with an RGB backlit keyboard, which is something that is usually found in gaming rigs like gaming notebooks.
Apart from this, the device also features an x-axis linear motor, a six-axis gyroscope, and Hall effect joysticks and triggers. Unfortunately, this is all the information we have at the moment. So stick around for more, as the company has teased that a surprise pre-order campaign and official launch event is just around the corner.
