After teasing the Tecno Pova 5 Pro in India last week, the brand has now debuted the smartphone in Indonesia. The device has launched in the lower midrange and features an attractive LED strip on the back which can act like a notification LED. Let’s take a closer look at the spec sheet and pricing.
Tecno Pova 5 Pro specs
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro boasts a massive 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. For added security, there’s a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Photography is handled by a dual-camera unit on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor and an AI lens.
Powering the device is the Dimensity 6080 processor, paired with a whopping 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, providing seamless multitasking. Storage is generous, with 256GB of internal memory. The device comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, featuring 68W fast charging. It operates on Android 13-based HiOS 13 and also has a 2,820mm² vapor chamber with 12,979mm² heat dissipation area to keep the temperatures under control.
Its standout feature is the RGB lighting-enabled Arc Interface on the back panel, which glows in different colors during gaming, charging, and for notifications like incoming calls or messages.
Additionally, the device includes dual stereo speakers and a Z-axis linear motor that enhances the tactile feedback. Other features include dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Price & availability
Pre-orders for the Tecno Pova 5 Pro and Pova 5 are now open in Indonesia until Aug. 20. The device is priced at IDR 2,949,000 (~$195) and is available in two color options: Dark Illusion and Silver Fantasy.
