The PocketBook Basic Lux 4 e-reader has been launched. The new PocketBook e-reader comes with a compact display like a smartphone and an affordable price tag. It is the successor to the PocketBook Basic Lux 3 and it has a 6-inch E Ink Carta screen.

The Basic Lux 4 has a display resolution of 212ppi and a front light for enhanced reading in dark conditions. The light however lacks adjustable color temperature control. Physical page turn buttons are present just below the display, which is a multisensory touchscreen. Apart from its compact display, the PocketBook Basic Lux 4 is among the lightest in its category with a weight of 155g.

The e-reader has an onboard storage of 8GB and this can be complemented by its microSD card support. The gadget comes with an upgraded USB-C port and Wi-Fi connectivity. Users can also deploy the Dropbox application on the Basic Lux 4 for wireless file transfer. Up to 25 e-book formats are supported on the device. The PocketBook Basic Lux 4 has a battery life of about 30 days on a single charge. Finally, the compact design of the device makes it an easy companion to use on the go.

PocketBook Basic Lux 4

The Basic Lux 4 e-reader is already available on the Good e-Reader Store for $109 and retailers like Amazon. However, PocketBook is yet to officially launch the gadget. The attractive pricing of the Basic Lux 4 makes it a convenient choice for entry-level-grade e-readers. This is further enhanced by its improved battery life and expandable storage.
