We have been hearing about Redmi Pad 2 for the last few months. Almost everything about this tablet is out courtesy of certifications and other sources.

According to the latest information, this product will actually go official as Redmi Pad SE instead of Redmi Pad 2. This makes sense as the new tablet from Redmi will arrive with downgraded features compared to the original Redmi Pad.

Let’s check out what the fresh details have to say about the second Redmi-branded tablet.

Redmi Pad SE

Earlier today, Xiaomiui reported that Kimovil has published the renders of the upcoming Redmi Pad SE on its website. The product listing also includes the specs of the device.

These specs match those of the heavily leaked Redmi Pad 2. Xiaomiui has even spotted the MIUI builds of the Redmi Pad SE.

As per the MIUI codebase, this tablet is codenamed ‘Xun’. Currently, there are two regional MIUI builds for this device, namely ‘Global’ and ‘EEA’. Thus, it will be released in Europe and select international markets.

The Redmi Pad SE (formerly Redmi Pad 2) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip paired with LPDDR4x RAM. It will be built around a 10.x-inch display (LCD) with a 2K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

It will be equipped with Dolby Atmos-supported quad speakers. There will be an 8MP camera on the rear and another 8MP snapper on the front.

The device will boot MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Lastly, it will be backed by an 8,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging.
