In just six months, Microsoft‘s updated Bing and Edge have changed online search. User engagement stats show: over 1 billion chats and 750 million images on Bing. Edge has grown for nine straight quarters, highlighting Microsoft’s success in AI-based user experiences.

Microsoft has also partnered with Swiftkey to bring the AI experience to chat and search functions

A huge reason is the Bing Image Creator, a partnership with OpenAI. Using advanced DALL·E models, it turns user descriptions into images. Now, users can chat about recipies with Bing, and then get visual samples instantly. Listening to feedback, Bing Chat now offers Chat History. It saves old conversations under “Recent Activity”, letting users revisit, share, or manage their chats.

The Bing Mobile App brings all these features to mobile devices. Users get detailed AI answers and the Bing Image Creator while on the move. Windows Copilot introduces AI to PCs. It centralizes AI tools and, with Bing Chat, makes tasks easier and faster. Teaming up with SwiftKey, Bing has also enhanced the keyboard with added search and chat functions.

Microsoft’s new features include:

  • Third-Party Browser Support: Bing’s features are coming to other browsers, but Edge offers the full Bing experience.
  • Multimodal Visual Search: Users can upload photos in chats and ask related questions.
  • Dark Mode and Bing Chat Enterprise: By popular demand, Dark Mode is now across platforms. Bing Chat Enterprise focuses on business needs, ensuring data stays secure.

Microsoft’s next steps in AI-driven search look quite promising, and they’re open to more user feedback to keep improving. Are you on board with what the company seems to be doing here? Let us know in the comments below!
