The Razer Kitsune Optical Arcade Controller has debuted in the US market. The new controller is Razer’s debut anti-joystick accessory. It is an all-button gadget with optical switches and a low-profile build. The Razer Kitsune comes with a backpack-friendly build and has a detachable type-C cable. The Razer Kitsune is available on order from Razer and Amazon.
The Kitsune All-Buttong Optical Arcade Controller is PlayStation-certified and also compatible with PCs. The brand’s low-profile linear Optical Switches provide for a shorter actuation height for greater response. It features the Precise Quad Movement Button Layout, well-suited for fighting games. The Kitsune also integrates a physical lock switch to enhance the fluidity of the gameplay.
The Kitsune also features Cable Lock to protect the user from disqualification during tournaments, securing the type-C end of the cable during gameplay. The switches and locks help to deliver an immersive gaming experience for users and the safety of not being disqualified for glitches.
The Razer Kitsune omits a wireless connection and the wired connection also powers its Razer Chroma lighting. The controller is highly optimized for PlayStation and PC usage. It also offers easy storage and setup, with a weight of 800g. The weight of the Kitsune is largely due to its stock aluminum top plate which is also customizable with skins or vinyl.
The Kitsune is available in the US starting at $299.99 via the Razer website. A customized version of the controller can be purchased from Amazon for $329.99.
