Smartphone launches are once again catching up ahead of the festive season. Though only two companies have scheduled new releases for the next week, these are important big-name products.
The firms that will be unveiling phones in the next few days are Xiaomi and OnePlus. The former will debut its next-gen foldable and a performance-oriented Redmi-branded handset.
On the other hand, OnePlus will announce an affordable premium device under its Ace series. Let’s take a look at these phones one by one.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be unveiled on August 14 (Monday) in China. As the name suggests, it is the company’s third-gen horizontal foldable smartphone that unfolds into a tablet.
Thanks to leaks and official teasers, we know a lot about this product. It will arrive with an 8.02 main foldable screen with a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600 nits peak brightness level. It will be equipped with a new hinge and will be thinner than the Honor Magic V2 when folded.
The device will flaunt a Leica-tuned quad-camera system, which will also include a periscope zoom lens. It is expected to be backed by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless charging.
