Xiaomi held a mega event in China yesterday, The company announced the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, the Pad 6 Max tablet, Smart Band 8 Pro, and the Redmi K60 Ultra. Now, the company’s sub-brand has announced a new tablet in the European markets called the Redmi Pad SE. We have been hearing leaks and rumors about the Redmi Pad 2 for months but it turns out the device is actually the Redmi Pad SE. The latest offering is a slightly toned-down version of the original Redmi Pad that debuted last October. 

Redmi Pad SE specifications and features

The Redmi Pad SE comes with an 11-inch LCD display bearing a downgraded resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels compared to the original variant. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and TUV Rheinland low blue light certification. The tablet has a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear shooter with support for recording 1080p videos. On the audio front, the device is equipped with quad speakers and features Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. 

On the hardware front, the Redmi Pad SE is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 processor built on a 6nm process. It is offered in three RAM variants of 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB with all options packing 128GB native storage. For additional storage needs, there is support for a microSD card slot. An 8,000mAh battery fitted inside keeps the tablet running. It supports 10W charging. 

The Redmi Pad SE runs on MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13 OS out of the box. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm jack. 

The Redmi Pad SE is offered in Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green color options. It starts at €199 for the base 4GB option whereas the 6GB and 8GB variants are priced at €229 and €249.
